As our third quarter wrapped up and fourth quarter began, Team SERRO flew internationally to Vancouver, Canada for the North American Network Operators’ Group (NANOG) Conference for NANOG 74. NANOG is a nonprofit association for working professionals within the network, infrastructure, architecture, and engineering disciplines which focus on the network operation and technical innovation within North America. These meetings are an excellent opportunity for networking, skill-building, and learning about the latest technology advancement within the: telecommunication, service provider, computer and network security, information technology and service industries. Every year NANOG hosts three meetings within North America attended by 1,000+ technology professionals from around the world.

This year Team SERRO had the honor of being one of the Beer ‘N Gear technology sponsors for NANOG 74. Beer ‘N Gear is a two-hour event open to all attendees, where networking with some of the brightest minds and esteemed networking authorities.  At this event, we were able to have meaningful conversation around network automation, orchestration, multi-cloud, and open source technologies: OpenDaylight, ONAP, OPNFV, and OpenStack capabilities. We were so pleased to be a part of this distinguished community.

The next NANOG meeting is in San Francisco, and anticipated to be the largest NANOG on record with over 1,500 attendees. Team SERRO will be attending you will find us again at our Beer ‘N Gear table.
